Very cold tolerant. And also tolerant of the unpredictable Danish winter with warm periods followed by late frosts that has killed many other arctic/subarctic plants in my garden.

This cultivar used to be in flower mid June. ......

Do either cause you a problem in the garden?
The Sulphur-crested cockies can demolish a fruit crop in a few days and they dig up grassed areas in search of romulea corms! The worst thing they do is shred flowers such as daffodils - I lost a Fritillaria persica which they shredded such as it was about to flower and it never recovered.
