Last week we were for a few days in the mountains. We cannot do anymore any wanderings in high regions, but
enjoyed the green meadows and the view from the summit stations of the mountain lifts. It was too late for most
of the alpine flowers, but were lucky to find a few. The Berghaus Schwaben was beautifully decorated with Clematis,
Hydrangea, Phlox, Dahlias and other House Plants in spite of 1520m elevation.

Great pics, Rudi,
No need to apologise for the Edelweiss - it was so good it was worth posting twice!

I was made a little anxious by the mini mountains on the hut roof - but luckily the view of the lake and beyond was VERY relaxing!! Wonderful place for a break!

Wonderful pictures!

Dear friends, many thanks for your kind comments. Maggi, there was no danger at all by the mini-mountain; the base
looks like a small hut, but is just a wooden box, filled with stones. The local Edelweiss are rather small and very rare,
the plants at the photos are cultivars from the garden trade, but in a very good condition due the sun and the climate
in more than 1700m elevation.

Beautiful mountain scenery Rudi!
And the pot with the Edelweiss is so precious! One can never succeed with it here in cultivation because of the high humidity in the summer. So, except the once every few years hikes in the Carpathian Mts. they are a rare sight.
