First pleiones flowering
« on: March 22, 2011, 02:27:11 PM »
Hello

here are my first efforts with P.formosana.
it was made much easier because of the beautiful very large bulbs supplied.
The greenhouse is insulated with bubble wrap and i applied a whitewash yesterday.
there is a roof-window just above the plants and temperature stays at around 24C from 10am till approx 4pm. The growing media is medium bark with 20% sphagnum moss.
The next ones threatening to flower look to be P.forrestii (D.Llewelyn) and F.snowcap (Holland)
best

Well done, Jan. I like to see pleiones grown in groups, they look so much nicer that way and I'm sure they like it better, too. It's nice to have a few friends around. ;D ;D ;D
