Hautes Pyrénées
« on: July 21, 2022, 06:03:43 PM »
While most of the Alps flora is burnt the one from Hautes Pyrénées is still fresh, however walking under 39° is quite challenging on long distance.

Here're a few photos took between Luz Saint Sauveur and Gavarnie. Iris latifolia, Viola cornuta, Rosa pendulina, Brimeura amethystina, Geranium argenteum are just a few among many species currently in full bloom.

So hot in the mountains - it's a wonder there are any plants in flower at all.

Usually no surprise in this region, always on time whatever the weather is or was before your arrival. Not the cas for Pyrénées Orientales or Alps.
