The flower is a very nice extra.....The leaves are stunning. They would justify growing the plant even if it didn't flower.

Thanks Marc.  Of my several bulbocodium forms, this one has the longest (& broadest) leaves.  Unfortunately they flop around a bit, maybe etiolated under the winter light conditions here, but are compensated by a succession of these rather striking flowers.

That's a fabulous photo of the R. nivalis Ashley. Makes the flowers look good enough to eat!
