Maggie
Last ditch attempt to get the NE contingent to come is Monday night at our meeting - do you know if there is an electronic poster for the day which I can hand out to all and sundry??

If Sandy doesn't have something I could cobble something together?

Well, Sue, only if you make them: you'll need badges for Sue Gill, Alan Newton, Brenda Newton, Peter Maquire, Brenda Walker and Alastair Walker oh, and David Boyd, how could I forget Boydie!!..... I would hope these names are familiar to you? I'm hoping that these, at least, will be attending !!
I really cannot stress enough that the talks by Jānis Rukšāns will be worth the travel alone, let alone the display and goodies to buy from nurserymen and SRGC plant stall alike. It is one of the most wonderful events in the SRGC calendar, why else do you suppose the we always havea bus load down from Aberdeen... it's quite a long way, too!

Hi All
Wearing my publications manager hat I just wanted to let you know David & I will be at Dunblane with the books. The pre-purchased copies of The Caucasus and its Flowers are selling very quickly so if you want a copy you probably need to buy then. After that, if I order in more, they will be at full price i.e. £60 instead of £40. New from Timber Press is Dwarf Campanulas by Graham Nicholls at £25 and Gardening on Pavement, Tables and Hard Surfaces by George Schenk at £ 14.99. I also hope to have 'Snowdrops A Monograph of Cultivated Galanthus' by Matt Bishop, Aaron Davis and John Grimshaw 2nd edition which has just been published - RRP is £45 but, assuming it arrives on time, I will have for £40 at Early Bulb.
Now a plea - if you spot a new title on alpine plants please send me an e-mail - I might already have seen it but I'd rather get told 3 times than miss a new book! Also if there is a specific title that you want and it is in print I may well be able to get it for you.

Sorry, Luc, just speaking for myself I was too busy having fun. Many others were taking photos and I am sure that they will appear shortly. As Anthony says it was a fantastic day. Sorry you couldn't be there; maybe another year.

Pix and gossip soon, Luc! It was a really great day. Anthony could be seen working in the tea room, it was a joy to see him in action! Plants were being bought hand over fist, everyone leaving with at least one carrier bagfull! Large display of plants just lovely and the Talks by Janis.... well, he was at his very best. More in the next few days!

Ok here are the first few pictures of some of the plants.
Just looking around at some of the groups of plants in the display room.
I told you there was only one snow drop but there were lots of pots of it
