Our first Cardiocrinum yunnanense - perhaps
« on: June 29, 2012, 10:45:12 AM »
At last we have a cardiocrinum among the meconopsis, thanks to Branklyn's excellent plant sales. It certainly felt like Yunnan monsoon weather yesterday here in central Perthshire so we guess this one must be Cardiocrinum yunnanense. Is it? Can anyone pronounce authoritatively definitively on its identity?

I'm pleased to see you enjoying this giant lily, Anton - they have a stately charm all their own.

I have resized Anton's pix and added a couple more from the lovely garden of Anton and Margaret...

more of the lily, some thriving primulas and a 'hot off the press' ( appropriate for the SRGC's Journal Editor, don't you think?) picture of the their new alpine/glass house.....
