Hopefully Janis can give us the definitive answer.

At least I found that this sample comes from Antoine Hoog in France (earlier Hoog & Dix, Holland), CEH is abbreviation for one of his early trips with Paul Christian and David Elliot and I never before checked its identity as it never before bloomed with me. It is first flowering in my collection (judging by pictures and notes in planting books of last 5 years), so I'm more intrigued about its name. Another CEH sample in my collection (519) is Crocus malyi and it is true to name.
Janis

I suppose it is hadriaticus.
Janis
Janis - the well known CEH613 (C. cartwrightianus) was collected in southern Evvia near Polipotamos  growing with CEH612 (C.laevigatus). If CEH618 was collected not too far away from this location then its identity is puzzling since, according to Mathew, C. hadriaticus is not found in the east of Greece.
Gerry passed away  at home  on 25th February 2021 - his posts are  left  in the  forum in memory of him.
His was a long life - lived well.

Ladies and Gentelman,
Sorry for my great mistake. At first - correct number of picture marked as cartwrightianus CEH-618 really is CEH-613 - mistake appear rewriting label, inside pot was original label with number 613. It is the reason why I couldn't find any record about earlier blooming yesterday in my home. My first job this morning in office was rechecking of all notes in new  Millennium. The second - picture of previous entry is seedling of CEH-613 (open pollinated). Today blooms first flower of original stock - attached. Another picture shows variability of this stock but it is from autumn 2008. Once more, sorry.

Janis,

That first photo is just beautiful.  So crisp and clear.  Such a lovely veining, offset by the strong orange style branches.  Beautiful. 8)
Cheers.

Now I look at this I feel that there must have been quite a lot of variation in this collection no. Here is picture of another one obtained as CEH 613

Janis,

I didn't mean to make it sound like I was complaining about the second pic (if that was how you read it).  I just wanted to comment on how perfect that particular pic was. Sorry if I offended without intending to.
Cheers.

No,no! I'm not offended, I simply don't like by myself pictures of lower quality and used it only for not having better, so I asked for excuse me for using your time with bad pict.

Dima , this is great news: Many Congratulations to you on your Doctorate ! 8) 8) :-* :-*

I must say that I just heard the other day that another forumist, "PEAK" - Per-Åke Löfdahl , has successfully defended his thesis and at last (after more than 7 years of work) became a doctor in biotechnology. so the number of Forum Doctors is increasing fast!

Well done to you all for your long efforts!  8)
