Lovely combination of coum and snowdrops. :)

Stefan, your snowdrops just keep on flowering so well. :) 'Midas' has been a good grower also here.

My unusual G. elwesii.
Thank you Mariette for answering my question last month.
I hope the features are stable.

I do like that unusual Galanthus elwesii.  It looks like the green mark slipped and ended up in the wrong place.
Almost in Scotland.

Indeed, Kole, You´re presenting some very nice and interesting variations! I like them much more than the usual marks.  :)

Stefan, Your pics are beautiful as always! After a rainy day I feel my preference for yellow snowdrops is not without reason. Does the Sandersii have a name?

Guff, this looks more than a spot where these plants grow naturally, very nice indeed!

Thanks everyone.

Snowdrops do look great with Coum and Crocus growing about......

Every year, I collect seeds and make new beds in different spots in the woods.

Thanks Mariette! I think it's G. 'Lowick' but I'm sure...

Is the end of the flower stalk pleated of is just a colour variation? Limited knowledge so not sure if this feature is the norm.

Is there a particular species that you grow and have you seen any variation in the flowers over generations of seedlings?

I think what you are seeing is the spathe viewed from behind.  The pedicel then emerges from quite high up the spathe.  It's somewhere between difficult and impossible to tell different members of the Sandersii Group apart.  I don't know if this particular feature would help.

By the way, the village of Lowick is in my neighbourhood.  The people who live there pronounce the Low in Lowick to rhyme with How Now Brown Cow.  Just think How Now Brown Cow in Lowick and you'll get it right.
Almost in Scotland.

By the beginning of March the snowdrop season in Estonia has begun. Snow is gone but the temperatures are somewhat low and deeply freezing at nights. Hopefully things turn for the better later this month.

Some early varieties are setting to bloom.
