Androsace lowariensis AD862/5 bought from Pottertons Nursery

Hi Everyone! Does anyone have any information on the collector code supplied with this Androsace lowariensis bought from Pottertons nursery please? I can't seem to find anything and would love to know any info on it's collection - where from and who by..

Hi Maggi! Yes I did, he had no idea either and pointed me towards the forum. I think maybe this code has become muddled over time..

It had the same collection number back in 2005 (AD-862), there's a picture on Androsace World: http://www.alpines.be/androsaceworld/index.html

Thinking it is more likely to be AC - for Alan Clark , who is listed as having collected in Arunachal Pradesh in 2004.

Thanks Maggi!  I think you're right, maybe the C has typo'd into a D over time.. I emailed Mr Lemmons but it bounced.

The original seeds were collected near the Afghanistan/Pakistan border by Dr. Alan Dunkley in 1994.
