Wild Flowering Bush/Shrub ident needed

Hello,
The following flowering bush/shrub was photographed May 2 in the Vosges mountains of Alsace at about 531 m. Anyone care to take a guess at what it is?
As always, thanks much for your advice,
Regards,
Robert

I should clarify that this is photo was taken in the wild. I don't believe that this is a domesticated plant.

Yes, Rudi, it does look like that, also known as the Snowy Mespilus......though I have no idea what "mespilus" means!
Mespilus

Well I wasn't so very far out. Rosaceae anyway
and even pears start as wild plants.

You guys are really amazing! What a storehouse of knowledge. Many thanks for the help.
BTW this plant is called Gewöhnliche Felsenbirne in German which in English literally translated is "common cliff pear".
