Mountain landscape photographs
« on: February 07, 2016, 02:38:01 PM »
Hi

We are preparing geographical boards for the rockeries at the alpine garden Haut-Chitelet ( France), which will show for each one, near an explanation text, 2 or 3 plants and a distinctive view of the moutains in which they grow ( once printed not more than 10x15cms / 4x6 inches)
That means at this point we could need volunteer contribution of anyone who would be ok with that. Copyright and owner name will be printed with the picture on the board.
Here under the list of mountains still wanted ( only one pic per geographical area)

Europe:
Spain: Sierra Nevada or Picos de Europa
Italy: Apennins ( or Corsica)
Balkanic peninsula : dinaric Alps or  Rila Mts or Mt Olympe...
France: Pyrénées
Turkey : Pontic Range or else
Carpathians
Caucasus

Asia:
Japan
Arctic Siberia or Kamtchatka
Tian-Shan or Altaï

South America:
Terra del Fuego, Patagonia

New Zealand:
South Island Alps
South Africa ( Drakensberg )

Please contact me in private if you want.
Many thanks!

PS: I may also contact some forumists who posted pics from their trips.

Hello Philippe, do you not have any plants from the UK?

Hi Ian

Except for Primula scotica which is strictly endemic, the majority of the mountain plants of the UK are otherwise found in the north-western part of Europe, if I'm not wrong. So we don't have a bed dedicated to Uk Mountains!

Hi Philippe,
I have nothing to hand for the areas you're interested in, but I will be in the Sierra Nevada at the end of next month if you are still in need of a photograph then.
