West of Scotland Rock Garden Club
our October face-to-face meeting is on Monday:
"The Snowman's Flowers: botanising Bhutan's toughest trek" with Margaret Thorne
on Monday 9 October at 7.30pm

The first meeting of our Winter season will be given by Margaret Thorne, who is an experienced plant hunter.  This is a physical face-to-face meeting (unfortunately not available on Zoom).  It takes place as usual in Baljaffray Church in Grampian Way, Bearsden in the north of Glasgow (G61 4RN for satnavs).  Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.  This talk is highly recommended if you haven't attended a Local Group meeting before, and we positively welcome visitors.  We look forward to seeing as many folks as possible on Monday.

13 Nov - The Japanese Garden at Cowden - Nicola Dibley.
11 Dec - AGM & Members Night (with Christmas Fayre!).
8 Jan - Erythroniums in Cultivation - Ian Young (Virtual Meeting on Zoom only)
12 Feb - Around the World in 60 Minutes - Harry Jans (Virtual Meeting on Zoom only)
11 Mar - From Glasgow to Buchlyvie - Peter Semple
8 April - Truly Hardy Perennials - Helen Knowles, Tinniesburn Plants (plants for sale)
(Sat) 4 May - SRGC Glasgow Show at Baljaffray Church

Finally, remember the next SRGC 90th Anniversary Zoom Talk at 7.15pm on 21 October with Dave Toole speaking from New Zealand on 'Gardening in the South Island'  (see the SRGC website, click here for more detail of these events).

Next Meeting of Perthshire Rock Garden Club

Good evening everyone,

Just a quick reminder of our next meeting which takes place on Tuesday 7th Nov at 7.30pm.

We look forward to welcoming Elspeth Macintosh who is giving us a talk on her lifetime in Alpines.

If anyone has any plants or produce, they would be gratefully received for the raffle.

Also, if you haven’t already added your name to the Rock Garden lunch, it isn’t too late to do so. Just let us know on Tuesday.
