I have a Colchicum out just now also C. parnassicum but its 16cm, pink and tesselated. Maybe yours in the white form

Thanks Mark, but as I have three corms flowering now and all the flowers are white I suspect that it is white flowering species rather than a white form.

I have printed out a key and will see what I can come up with.

Got it in one, Arnold...... we have had  endless long waits over the years to get colchicum germination... then every now and then you ghet seed that just grows..... goddness knows what or why!!  :-\ ::)
