Strange. neither of my 2 vases do; fresh or after 2 weeks +. Maybe it is the variety. I will check some others tomorrow.

Interesting.  I never noticed it before, or even thought to check, but at close range the odour reminds me of ripe trillium fruits :P

Not all of them - some are absolutely delicious!
I recommend Nerine sarniensis ‘Andromeda’ and Nerine sarniensis 'Chocolate Flavour' - which genuinely smells as the label suggests!

I'm glad to hear they're not all stinky- I 've only ever hd enough N. bowdenii to pick and discover indoors that they smell so bad!
