Ian your hybrids are lovely, and that is a wonderful form of N. asturiensis, much better than mine! How big is it?

That form of N. asturiensis is around 7cm tall now, it has been pulled up by the poor light.
I have several forms including a real wee beauty with a large flared flower on a very short stem.
I intend to show them in next weeks log but if I don't then I will post them on the forum.

Ian,

I must confirm one comment you made on this week's bulb log; the last few days have seen an amazing leap forward in the plants in the garden. All of a sudden the snowdrops are fading away and the daffodils have shot forward into their place. Such is the season.

very true Paddy.

Not only is there a change from White Fever to Yellow Fever but alpines are now in bud or flowering eg Saxifraga and Callianthemums. Edraianthus are also showing new growth as are the creeping/alpine Phlox. Pulsatillas that havent really stopped flowering now have a mass of buds at their bases

I'm trying not to get overexcited like you chaps... we still have snowies coming out here!
AND it is blowing a freezing gale at the minute......doubt if there will be any flowers left tomorrow!
