Title: BULB LOG 23 --- 4th June 08
Post by: Diane Whitehead on June 04, 2008, 07:18:51 PM
From Bulb Log 23:  Gardening is all about patience taking the time to observe and understand your plants as well as enjoying their beauty - so does that mean there will have to be another three years of bulb logs?

---------------------------------

I hope so, Ian.  You keep growing new plants and trying new methods,
so the bulb logs always have something new in them.

Ian - Would you recommend dry sand storage of Narcissus cyclamineus seed as well?

Yes, I think he would. Results from very fresh seed have not been that good for us, so storage in that way would be used.

Oh, that double Trillium grandiflorum.  :o :o :o  Stunning!!!!!!  Love that Lilium nanum too.  Fascinating to see the different shapes and forms of the various seedpods.  Fascinated by the almost triangular shape to the Tecophilea pods.... mine have never set seed, so I assume I have only one clone (plus I don't flower that many of them).  So cool to see the differences, and your explanations of why some of them differ.  Thanks.
