Haemanthus barkerae grown from Silverhill seed.
First flower in Feb and now in seed

Very nice John.  First flowering is always exciting after a long wait :)
The foliage is attractive too, and in due course you may have a seed crop.

Here they seem to self without help, or perhaps crossed by random insects.  Flowering is over now but seeds are developing.
I usually send them to the SABG but this may be the last year :(

Hi John
I'm glad to see the babies performing well - just like the parent plant, which hasn't deigned to flower this year.  Most of my flowers this year were on Haemanthus humilis 'Giant' seedlings, which seemed to enjoy the hot summer better than some of the other forms.
