Any news yet of the events in Scotland?  I believe Ian Christie is organising something and if he is I would like to go to it.  So I would hate to find it clashes with an event I have already booked elsewhere.
Almost in Scotland.

Details of the HPS snowdrop event (sorry for my tardiness in posting this):
Quote
AGM and Study Day

Sunday 16th February 2020

The 9th AGM and Study Day will be held on Sunday 16th February 2020 at Tuxford Academy, Marnham Road, Tuxford, Nottinghamshire, NG22 0JH from 8.30am to 4.00pm (approx.).  There are plenty of parking spaces at the academy.

Registration will commence at 8.30am with plant sales at 9am. The AGM will start at 10.00 am followed by two talks.  The first, by Mark Brown, will be entitled “French Snowdrops”, Mark is travelling  across from Normandy.

Our second speaker will be Anne Repnow who is flying across from Germany to talk on “Galanthus galore - six months of flowering snowdrops in a German garden”

Plant sales will resume after the talks until 1.30pm at the latest.

From 1.00pm lunch (not provided) can be eaten at the academy. The directions/map to Church Farm and The Beeches will be provided with your garden entrance tickets and tea voucher, all included in the cost of your ticket.

Church Farm, Church Lane, West Drayton, Retford, DN22 8EB Robert and Isobel Adam

“The garden is essentially a spring garden and a little on the wild side. We have a small woodland area which is carpeted with many snowdrops, aconites and cyclamen which have seeded into the adjoining churchyard, with approximately 180 named snowdrops growing in island beds. The may be a limited amount of snowdrops and miniature iris for sale.” Tea and cake will be served here.

The Beeches, The Avenue, Milton, Newark, NG22 0PW Margaret and Jim Swindin

“One acre garden full of colour and interest to plant enthusiasts looking for unusual and rare plants. Spring give some 250 named snowdrops together with hellebores and early daffodils. The lawn is awash with crocus, fritillarias, anemones, narcissi and cyclamen. Large vegetable garden on raised beds. Lovely views over open countryside.”

The event will close at  approx. 4.00pm, or when you’ve finished your tea!

Some excellent speakers this year, rarely heard in the UK.

Pumpkin Beth has not listed the CGS Snowdrop Group event (I think) so this is from their web site:

Quote
Our next event will be held on 22nd February 2020.   We will be heading to Yorkshire and garden visits are planned to that of Michael Myers who is a lecturer in Horticulture at Craven College in Harrogate and who holds a good collection of snowdrops, and of Anne Wright of Dryad Nursery, who specialises in miniature daffodils and snowdrops and is very well known for her introductions of yellow snowdrops.

We are holding our talks and sales at Harrogate Grammar School.   Michael Myers will also be speaking at our event.   Our other speaker will be John Grimshaw who in the past looked after the extensive collection of snowdrops at the Colesbourne Estate and who is now The Director of Yorkshire Arboretum.   With such and exciting program who would wish to miss it!

I would not wish to miss this event but unfortunately it is on 22nd February so clashes with the Dunblane Early Bulb Day.
Almost in Scotland.
