Anna

Post and packing: up to 5 bulbs £4.00; up to 10 bulbs £6.00; up to 20 bulbs £10.

I hope that this helps and welcome out of the shadows  :)

That's not what it says on my order form!

"Postage: Flat rate £1.00 per plant.  Minimum order £15"

Hi Alan

I've just looked at the scanned copy of the list that a kind SRGC'er has sent me - my Mr Sharmon's list has not yet arrived to my house yet  :(

Postage on the copy I have is different on 2 different pages - so with the postage rate that Alan has seen that makes three different ways to pay for delivery...  ???

Yes.  I see how the confusion has arisen.

There is an Order Form where it says "Postage:  Flat rate £1 per plant" and a sheet entitled "Galanthus Availability List" where it says "Post and packaging: up to 5 bulbs, £4.00; up to 10 bulbs, £6.00; up to 20 bulbs, £10.00" and also explains the rather complicated procedure for writing a check to cover the possibility that some of the bulbs you wanted are sold out".

I had an early morning telephone conversation with Joe this morning in which he admitted to being a "lurker" on this forum so perhaps he can step in to clarify but if I was asked to take a guess I would think the second alternative was what was intended.

Joe also said that he did not mind me posting his list on this forum, so that's good!

"Galanthus Availability List
Valid from 23 January 2008 to 30 January 2008 Please order as soon as possible
Orders received after 2 February will not be accepted Orders accepted in order of receipt. First come first served.
If you are coming to the Galanthus Gala in Shaftesbury you can collect your orders from there. Please let me know if you intend to do this.
Orders will be posted as soon as possible. Prices in Pounds Sterling. Please send cheques to Monsilver Nursery. See address helow. Cheques should be open and limited. This is because we may not be able to supply everything that you want. For example, if your total is £45.00, sign and date your cheque, make it payable to Monksilver Nursery. Do not write any numbers or words in the amount line or box. Instead between the vertical lines in the centre of the cheque write "not to exceed £45.00". "

For some reason my scanner cannot cope with the centre of the page when converting to text but John posted that bit already.

Glad to see that the confusion has been sorted out. I am now back at work and therefore have limited access to the Forum during work hours and hence my tardy reply to Anna's follow up question.

Excellent!  We can have a sniffing competition.

No, Brian, it doesn't look like they accept credit card. Sterling cheque, in line with their instructions, from Ireland is not possible.

Hello Anna I give Jo Sharman a hand from time to time and if you wanted to order from him and avoid postage you could collect from me in Wansford, not too far from Peterborough I guess, just say to be collected by Carole

 Hi Mark
Yes it is.  I have just returned from a weekend in the potteries and am catching up on what is happening.  Only snowdrop lamps at Moorcroft, certainly out of my price range.  I need to wait for daylight again before I can check what is happening in the garden.  I certainly want to check if my golds are losing the lime green colouring or not.  Sara Dumont and Trumps were looking good when I left though, sorry but I am far too technophobic for photos.  I understand we won't be seeing you at the Gala, probably somewhere else before too long though.
