From the info on their membership page, Mel, it seems the Frit Group expect a membership application to be sent by post to Bob Charman and  paid by cheque.

It may be that Paul Cumbleton will be able to give a bit more info on this because as it stands, membership is heavily biased towards those in the UK. I'll ask him.

It's great that you want to join the Fritillaria Group!  Unfortunately we are not able to take online payments. The easiest way for overseas subscribers to pay is to obtain a £10 note and enclose this with your completed application form. Sorry we don't have other options.

Hi Paul and Maggie sorry did not reply sooner have just worked out how to read my messages, I thought I had no replies,lol. But am getting used to the forum better, and I had a lovely email from Ron Mudd on facebook, who very kindly offered to pay the sub for me and I pay him back via paypal, which is all done, so I am a member, hurray.  And thank you so much to Ron, he is fantastic.

Theydon Bois is situated in Essex on the edge of Epping Forest between Loughton and Epping. It is close to the M25 Junction 26 (Waltham Abbey), the M11 Junction 5 (Loughton, northbound exit only) and Junction 7 (Harlow/Epping).  10.00      Doors Open and Coffee.  Plants and Bulbs will be on sale during the day.

 11.00      Speaker Martyn Rix: “Some Fritillaries for the open garden – the Western European and alpine species”

 12.00      Speaker Peter Taggart: “A discussion on microclimates in pots”

 12.30      Lunch Break

 14.00      Discussion panel chaired by Bob Wallis with Martyn Rix, Brian Mathew and Laurence Hill 

 15.30      Raffle

 16.00      End of Meeting

 Entry fee £2.00 for members of the Fritillaria group and £5.00 for non-members.

 Please bring as many plants as you can for both the show and the discussion!

Membership details are available inside the Main Hall.  Subscriptions: £8.00 per annum single membership and £10.00 per annum for family, €10.00 for European membership and £10.00 for world-wide membership.  Two newsletters are published each year in February and August and a seed exchange takes place.
