Colchicum pusillum

<< < (2/2)

Anthony Darby:
In answer to your question Shelagh - no. There is a fairly extensive colchicum thread elsewhere. http://www.srgc.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=706.0

Thomas, I thought pusillum had yellow anthers (the last pic for anther colour, but the second pic for leaves) and cretense had brown anthers (like your first pic), with the tiny flowers appearing before the leaves?

Maggi Young:
You'll see that this thread has been moved now to Bulbs General, from Crocus: hope the move didn't make you dizzy! ::)

Anthony Darby:
:) :) :) Talking of happy bunnies - I had the delight of eating curried Agouti (a big guinea pig) last week. Delicious, if a lttle tough. :P

Thomas Huber:
Sue - I'll do my best with slug pellets!

Ibrahim - sorry, no photos of the corm!

Anthony - can't help you with your question, but all my plants (from 2 different greek locations)
are from a most reliable source, so I guess they are true to name. But you will notice in the
second photo, that there also is a yellow anthered one between the brown ones.

Anthony Darby:
Another pic of my pusillum.
