I want to re-read the article about searching for wild Erythronium along the Pacific coast, but can no longer find it.

Where is it now?

You can find Ed Alverson's articles,  "My Erythronium Year"  via the Content /Monthly Features link on the main site - which leads you here: http://www.srgc.org.uk/monthfeature/content.html
or, you can read the reworked  articles in the IRG (International Rock Gardener magazine of September 2015 here  - IRG69

Thank you, Maggi.

In case anyone is going to copy Ed's route, note there is no Rouge River Valley in Oregon.  It is the Rogue.  Put Rouge River into your GPS and you'll be driving to Ontario.
