Bulb Log 27
« on: July 09, 2009, 08:15:14 PM »
Ian must be receiving vibes from Yorkshire. Yesterday we were discussing maybe using slabs on edge to build a plunge for my little bulbs. I remembered Ian had featured these on a bulb log ages ago and had made a mental note to look it up. Obviously the mental note made its way to Aberdeen! Just need to know what kind of wire you have found best to bind the corners?
MINIONS! I need more minions!

Ian's been getting vibes from Yorkshire all his life, Anne: his Mum is from Leeds!
Wire types are beyond my technical ability.... I'll go ask him!

Had the temerity to interrupt his viewing of Masterchef..... but I survived that......
he says it is simple fencing wire, Anne.

That west drive is Sooooooo pretty Ian and Maggi. And such a fine and healthy Aciphylla, very at home in Aberdeen.

The spangled Rhodohypoxis are quite charming and oh, that gorgeous white Roscoea humeana. 8)

I very much like the concrete strips. I haven't seen anything like them here unfortunately.

I can only second that - the R. humeana alba is just about as pristine white as I've ever seen !!!  :o :o

Almost need sunglasses to look at it...  8)

Ian, it's amazing to see how your drive did develope over the years.
I remember we discussed about that years ago in the old Forum, when I was afraid the Geranium sanguineum would totally take over the place.
I see it is coming now into the front garden, but I know there are so many other plants and shrubs, that the Geranium will not vave a chance  ;D

Sadly Luit died on 14th October 2016 - happily we can still enjoy his posts to the Forum
