Primula for damp lawn

I have found that there are seedings of Primula japonica (don't know variety) growing in my lawn, self sown from plants in border.
I am hoping to encourage this.
Are there any other good varieties for lawns, and will I have to sow as seed or plants?

P. veris, vulgaris and elatior if you don,t mind native yellow ones or P. farinosa and scotica if the grass is kept short.

Vulgaris and veris come in countless colours, be they hybrid or not, and will seed around resonably freely into rough, preferably slightly shaded, grass (the shade proabably favours the Primula and suppresses the grass). Similarly so the standard polyanthus.

Especially the mossy parts of shaded grassland are an excellent seeding ground for P.veris, elatior and especially vulgaris and its hybrids.
