Maxine Grice of Avon Bulbs is busy  at the RHS Malvern Show - she has shared these photos from one of the  auricula nurseries at the  Show  .... pretty, aren't they?

What is really nice is to realise that I have most of those colours (of the single ones) grown from seed. I even have a few of the double ones too!

Lovely display there, wonder how they last as cut flowers like that?
Yes, Maggi, those shows are very strict, but so are ours, the rules make my head spin!  I’ve only been to a couple of those auricula shows (and there are categories for other primula species as well) but they take no notice at all of the state of the foliage in judging them, which quite surprised me.  How to grow them to their standards beats me though, I’m happy with what I have ...

My problem now is that I am not allowed to buy any more of the named ones. She who is always right thinks I have enough, just because the theatre is full.
