Title: Bulb log 29/03/07

Wonderful display of bulbs in the frit house.

It looks like one is trying to escape through the top in the photo of the left hand side.

I also imagined F. pinardii was drawfer or it that just a large form.

If I could only find F. chitralensis ;).

Frit house is looking nice, isn't it?
The tall frit trying to break out through the roof is a VERY tall form of F. montana !
The F. pinardi Ian shows this week IS a rather leggy variant, most are much shoter, this is our tallest form.
Sadly, the availabiltiy of F. chitralensis, a staley and beautiful frit, with a most heavenly scent, makes the scarcity of hen's teeth look feeeble by comparison! Thaat is to say, I know of no-one who has this stunner available, more's the pity.
