Title: Crocus alatavicus
Post by: Catwheazle on August 22, 2020, 06:13:35 PM
Hello,
I am posting here because I hope that someone can give me a tip here for Crokus alatavicus .

I have tried this species several times in the field. It worked for 2-3 years, even with flowers, but sooner or later the plants always go "backwards".
For Info:
I live in the mountains, which means that the winters are cold, snowy and long. I gave the plants moisture protection. The summers are (meanwhile) very warm,
but never really dry, in between there is always rain. The soil is gravel / clay calcareous (to give an impression: the perfect soil for orchids - Orchis, Cypripedium,
Dactylorhiza and peonies, but: lilies and fritillaries cause problems - outdoors)
regards
Bernd
