Kata, I don't think the Bulb Log itself, appears on our screens. We need to go to the main SRGC website and log into it. I usually don't remember until I see a new Bulb Log thread in the Forum, such as this one here.
Maybe Fred or Maggi could arrange for a link to appear on the Forum, that connects to each new Bulb Log? so that the poor idiots like me can do it the easy way.

Fred's answer to all requests for RSS feeds etc notifications of new items, such as the Bulb Log is simple: it's all there, there is an update section that Fred flags up new Logs on, and access to everything on site is open to all* ... so this is your penance, you must do a little work to find these things !! ::) 8) ;)

Fair enough Maggi. Just being my usual lazy self. (Spent the whole day yesterday on my sofa, watching 1st cricket test between England and NZ. Things nicely poised at present. Day 2 starts in 50 mins.)
I was going to punish you however. For some reason in my emails where all the posts start their life, Mark's post said "This is the link to Ian's food log...." and I was going to say "Ian's bulb log, Maggi's food log."

Actually, I thought Mark's "food log" would confuse all sorts of innocent souls.... since my recipes are SO popular! :-X :P ::)

I know that very well, Lesley, and I never forget to look for it, nor am I lasy ;D, but strangely yesterday evening when I read David's words, there was only the 2802 thread on the main page of all Bulb Logs! That's why I was so surprised.
Now there is also the 0503. :)

Thank you David, I a really getting into and enjoying using an SLR again. I am not knocking the digital fixed lens compacts because I have had excellent results with them over the last six years and will continue to use them. However the ability to see and set the focus point exactly where I want is the big plus for me in using the SLR however compacts have advantages over the SLR's as well.
Kathrine, David must have been the first to find this weeks bulb log as it was only just posted early on Wednesday evening so when you looked it possibly was not there. Also you may have to refresh the page to bring in the new index and not the one that your computer has stored in its cache.
I always try and send the bulb log to Fred by Wednesday evening, and he is usually very quick to get it on, but occasionallty one or both of us is away or busy so sometimes it is late.
My original intention for the Bulb log was to have something that changed every week on the SRGC website - to make it dynamic- so that people would visit on a regular basis - coming in through the home page is an essential part to help spread the word about the SRGC. I know plenty of people have the index page bookmarked and I met someone who has it as their home page.
Also part of my original intention to do it for one year ??? ??? ::)
And as for you Lesley sitting there watching CRICKET?

Ian I promise you, while I may not read the bulb log every week, I do read every week's bulb log. I'm just a bit late sometimes. Every one is a gem and worth a lot more than its virtual weight in virtual gold. :)As for the cricket, I fully understand that you, being a Scot, may not see much to be gained from my watching it but I justify the time taken by cleaning my seed harvest while I'm doing it. Some hundred and twenty margarine pots are now removed from the dining room table, where they've been waiting in ever growing stacks and their contents are now cleaned and packeted. So you can't say that cricket is a total waste of time.

My Dad always said that cricket wasn't a total waste of time.... he was a member at the local Cricket club, half a mile down the hill.... lovely clubhouse, cheap beer.....no, not a complete waste of time at all ;)
