Thanks for these photos Giles.... and especially this first glimpse of ZZ's work on the new Wisley Crevice. It looks terrific.... work is so well advance...  ZZ has only been there about a week!
I know he works like a demon, he must have had his helpers hard at it too to get so far so quickly. Probably there are exhausted workers all over Wisley!

I bet Paul and everyone invloved  in this will be delighted at the speed of progress - it is more advanced than I would have thought at this stage.

I'm looking forward to seeing the report of the process from Paul in forthcoming Wisley Logs.

Tetraneuris (Hymenoxys) acaulis

Giles, some very unusual plants there; the flowers on that Allium thunbergii show a rather distinctive form; very pretty.  And the Ozothamnus, that's awesome.

I sorry, but I believe the Tetraneuris (Hymenoxys) acaulis is misidentified, here's some links showing what this plant looks like.  Not sure what the spiny-leaf plant you show actually is.

Giles, sorry not to know that it was you but we were in the alpine house at the same time this morning, just before I went out to talk to ZZ, I guess there must be a lot of times when forumists are in the same place without realising it!

Perhaps a batch of T-shirts with the embroidered logo "I'm an SRGC Forumist. Are you?"
This would not only give Forumists a chance to recognise each other but it wouild also give them the choice of avoiding each other - if they chose. ;D

The picture doesn't show Tetraneuris acaulis, but I'm not sure what it is?
