A piece of Tibet in Central Victoria

We visited a friend near Bendigo, about 45 minutes North of where we live.
Nearby is the Atisha Buddhist centre and the beginnings of the Great Stupor for Universal Compassion.
Apparently one of the volunteers is a drystone-waller and he has been at work in the carpark and the garden of the Atisha Centre.
Here are some pics of his handiwork, and the Buddhist inscriptions and prayers which are so evocative of being in the Himalaya - at least from what I've seen in photographs!

Here are a few more including some of the garden beds they are making using drought hardy plants as there is no water available for irrigation as such!
