I post this here for Poul to see it. I found Sternbergia sicula starting to germinate about a week ago!
 
It is not a good time (considering the snow outside) but I'm happy about it. Hopefully they will follow the example of another batch of Sternbergia seeds which also germinated in the winter last year, grew well under lights, then went dormant, then started to grow again this fall. So, two growing cycles in one year!
It is great for bulbs which need to reach a certain size to start flowering.
