Title: how to .... sow Aster tsarungensis and Aster batangensis
Post by: Catwheazle on December 10, 2013, 06:16:26 PM
Hello,
I just got seeds of Aster  tsarungensis and Aster batangensis.
I will now sow directly outdoors in the flower bed, which already has Chinese Cypripedium (margaritaceum, fargesii) are located. The soil consists of loamy gravel, limestone, rather dry and covered in winter against moisture. virtually no humus there.
Can i do this ? Or should it be better to sow first in a pot, and let they grow at about 20 ° C ?
About Aster tsarungensis I have read that it grows with rhododendrons together. Does ist like it lime in the soil? Od Do i need another floor?

thanks.
Bernd
