Here are some photos of Slovak gardens (Kremnica).

The first garden is much bigger than you mean. A very unusual and opinionated garden.

The stones and rocks are unusual

Planted with lots of well growing Saxifrages and other Alpines

The second garden looks like a botanical garden. Plants from all over the world. The construction is adapted to the requirements of the plants (Alpines, cactus, plants from Europe, America,...).

What fine gardens, Hans. They are full of clever ideas to learn from. Thank you... it was worth the dreadful rain, was it not?

Hans do you have many contacts in Slovakia? The AGS Ulster Group is possibly going to the Czech Republic again next year. We could go for a two centre vacation
Mark. Antrim (town), Northern Ireland. z8+
the garden is now a sea of yellow and blue.

Mark I have only few contacts to Slovakia. The photos are taken in Mr. Roth's gardens.
I am unhappy, one of the best cultivators of difficult Alpines and small trees (pinus, Hexenbesen,...) is going to break up her hobby.
She and her husband say: I want to have holiday, I will not be the sclave of my plants for the next years and I will see the sea once in my life. They will sale the house and the new owner does not want a garden and any plants. So in these days you can buy all plants (most are curiosities) for EUR 1,- or EUR 2,- for exibition plants as you know in the UK. The complete Saxifraga collection for a special price and stones and ....

Have a nice day!
