Good stuff, Anthony, Sandy will appreciate all the helpers he can get! Any other members who are attending will be warmly welcomed if they can spare some time to chat to the public etc. at the SRGC stand, I'm sure. After the Gang has worked to build the display, it is a bit much to expect them to be there for two days on their feet doing the PR thing, too!
I've had to get my Dad into respite care so I can attend our own Aberdeen show, so I will not manage down to Ingliston... one of these years, though, she threatened!

Rob, as I suggested in my post last Thursday,it is Sandy Leven, who has organised all the SRGC's Medal Winning displays, who would be glad of any offers of help. Sandy's telephone and other contact details are in all the printed SRGC literature, I think. He will be away at Chelsea for at least tomorrow (Monday 23rd May) so you will not be able to reach him immediately.
Carol may not be able to reply to you today, anyway, they've got Garden visitors!
I have never been able to visit any of these shows in person... so I'm hoping all you folk out there with your cameras clicking will be making lots of posts here so I, and others like me, can keep up with the proceedings! Second-hand viewing is better than no viewing at all!
We are all hoping that we will soon be able to get shots from Chelsea when it opens officially, too, of course.
Back to "Gardening Scotland".....Jim Jermyn was saying on the BBC last weekend that there were going to be free busses from Haymarket into the Showground... that might make life easier for a lot of visitors. Check out the website... www.gardeningscotland.com where there may be mopre details about bus access etc.

Hi there, do you want pics of Gardening Scotland. I was there on 3rd June and took many digital pics of gardens and the Floral Hall. I would be quite happy to post some of them if you tell me how to and what size of file you require.
Cheers
Heather

Hi, Heather, and WELCOME! We'd love some pix of the Show... you'll find tips about posting pix to the Forum on the Forum Help page, accessed fron the homepage, or from the Help button at the top of each page. Generally speaking, images of about 400x500 pixels to a file of around 65kb is what we need. Having sized your pix. name them and store them somewhere handy for you to upload them to your posting when prompted when you click "upload attachment" at the foot of this page. Click on "Browse" and go to the folder you have placed the pix in and highlight each, in turn, to upload. A code message will appear in your post for each photo... you may cut and paste them anywhere you like in your text. It is better to click the enter/return key before and after each photo, however, to ensure a neat placing on the page and to avoid the need to scroll across the page to view images.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Maggi, these are digital still I took during my visit. There are other terrific exhibits in the Floral Hall but by then I was juggling an SLR, a camcorder and bags of plants I was buying (the most important thing!). So, I stopped taking stills and took only video. I can post still images from the video in a later post. Hope I can do this correctly and if you don't get the info that goes with the pictures I'll add this later too. Now, pictures should follow:
'A SPECIAL PLACE' Garden (Bronze Medal)

'CAPITAL SKILLS GARDEN'

'CHIC IN THE CITY' Garden (Gold Medal)

'GARDEN CREATIONS'

One more thing - I only have video of the SRGC troughs exhibit but I expect pictures of this have been posted here elsewhere. I am completely new to this site and haven't yet examined it all.

Heather,

Welcome, and what wonderful pics!! Certainly were some wonderful exhibits there. Oh to have a tree stump or driftwood like the "Garden of Mutual Inspirations" piece. The wood alone would be an amazing addition to a garden and a wonderful talking point.

You've taken some really great pics of some wonderful exhibits. Thanks so much for taking the time to prepare and post them for those of us elsewhere around the world to see. Thank You!!

Hi Paul,

Did you give my pics 5 stars?? If so, thanks very much. Glad you enjoyed seeing the gardens. Not quite all the gardens are here and 1 pic cannot show all the garden in each case, but it is representative of the show gardens.
Thanks again
Heather
